This Privacy Policy explains how Mustard Communications Private Limited ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal data when you use BuyingIntent.in. We follow applicable Indian data protection law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
1. Data we collect
Account data — name, work email address, organisation, and a securely hashed password when you register.
Billing data — your plan, transaction references and GST details needed for invoicing. Payments are processed by Razorpay; we never receive or store your card, UPI or bank credentials.
Usage and technical data — pages viewed, actions taken, IP address and browser type, used for security, support and product improvement. We use browser local storage to keep you signed in and to remember preferences.
2. Research respondents
The consumer research behind the India Buying Intent Index is collected and processed separately, in anonymised and aggregated form. The Platform displays aggregate results only and never exposes personally identifiable respondent information. Subscriber accounts are not linked to respondent data.
3. How we use your data
To provide and secure the service, manage your subscription, issue invoices, respond to support requests, improve the product, and send service communications such as alerts and reminders you have opted into. We do not sell personal data.
4. Sharing
We share data only with service providers needed to run the Platform: Razorpay for payment processing, cloud infrastructure providers for hosting and backups, and email delivery services for service communications. We may disclose data where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
5. Security and retention
The Platform is served over HTTPS, passwords are stored hashed, and access to production systems is restricted. We retain account and billing data for as long as your account exists and thereafter as required by law, including tax record-keeping requirements.
6. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and may raise any grievance about its handling, by writing to support@buyingintent.in. We respond to grievances within the timelines prescribed by applicable law.
7. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
